Polarcus Nadia crew

The Polarcus Nadia is the company's first 3D seismic vessel, delivered in late December 2009 and operational early January offshore West Africa. The name Nadia was derived from the Arabic female name meaning 'the beginning, the first' and was chosen to signify the successful arrival of the company.
 
Her crew comprise a diverse and seasoned team of professionals sourced from across the seismic industry, with relevant industry experience averaging in excess of 12 years. Steve Hughes
Party Manager

  • More than 20 years seismic industry experience including SCAN and Western Geophysical (large spread 3D, multi-vessel wide-azimuth operations and OBC)
  • Management of large single and multi-vessel seismic operations, in addition to vessel conversion and rigging experience
     
Neil Boughton
Party Manager

  • More than 15 years seismic industry experience with WesternGeco, most recently as Party Manager on large spread 3D vessels
  • Unique experience in ‘High Arctic’ 3D surveys in Canadian Beaufort and Alaska
Dr. Richard Goodwin 
Chief Field Geophysicist

  • More than 10 years seismic industry experience including Veritas and PGS
  • Key experience includes offshore geophysical QC, navigation and seismic processing
Adam Turner
Chief Field Geophysicist

  • More than 3 years offshore geophysical processing experience including supervisory positions with Wavefield
  • Key experience includes onboard processing and extensive Post Stack Time Migration

Philip Lanczak 
Chief Observer

  • More than 20 years seismic industry experience including PGS, most recently as Chief Observer managing 8-16 streamer spreads
  • Key experience includes back deck operations and mobilization/demobilization of large spreads

Efren Gabriel

  • 20 years experience in the seismic industry working with SCAN and WesternGeco
  • Key experience with large, complex 3D spreads across a broad array of technology types
Daren Jobling 
Chief Navigator

  • More than 9 years seismic industry experience including PGS and Fugro-Geoteam, most recently as Chief Navigator on large spread vessels
  • Key experience includes vessel close pass operations and ORCA

Chief Mechanic

  • More than 18 years seismic industry experience including WesternGeco and CGGVeritas, including field support
  • Detailed knowledge across multiple source and handling technologies in the seismic industry
Armin Roehl
Chief Mechanic
  • More than 20 years in the seismic industry, with 10 years working as Chief Mechanic on large spread 3D seismic vessels for WesternGeco and most recently as a Mechanical Supervisor for SCAN

Simon Hodgkinson 
Master
  • More than 20 years maritime industry experience including Western Geophysical and WesternGeco , with 11 years working in the seismic industry as Chief Officer and Master
  • Key experience includes working with large in-sea spreads, leading Management System and ISM audits, and detailed knowledge of the implementation of ISPS within the seismic industry

Nigel Booth
Master
  • More than 20 years maritime industry experience, including over 10 years working in the seismic industry,  most recently as Master on 3D seismic vessels for CGGVeritas
  • Key experience includes multi-streamer seismic operations and dynamic positioning operator (DPO) on hydrographic surveys

Krzysztof Dziedzicki
Chief Officer

  • 15 years experience in the seismic industry most recently holding Chief Officer and Master positions onboard large spread 3D vessels for WesternGeco

Jaroslaw Spolczynski
Chief Engineer

  • More than 20 years maritime industry experience including Eidesvik and GC Rieber Shipping, working as a marine engineer
  • Most recent experience  in diesel-electric propulsion, various thruster technologies and seismic compressors on seismic vessels

Steve McAvoy
Chief Engineer

  • More than 20 years of diversified offshore experience including over 10 years as Chief  Engineer on DP2 vessels
  • Extensive experience in dry dock preparations, planning and execution of work scopes
